Coffee makes it worse.
04.28.04 (4:02 pm) [edit]
When I drink too much coffee, the withdrawal stuff is worse.
In other news, I am holdin' it down at about 1/2 a dose of 37.5mg.
I see my psych doc tomorrow and will fill her in on all the drama that's ensued since last time, and may even tell her about this blog. I think she's one of the Good Guys, just underinformed.
Hope everyone is hanging in there.

To everyone out there who is suffering or has suffered from Effexor related hell: This drug and others like it will never be taken off the market until the mainstream media takes up the cause. So many of us are suffering in shame and silence. I believe that if enough people write to Oprah and suggest this as an idea for her show, they will make one. We need the media if we want this suffering to end, if we want our suffering to mean something, if we want the drug companies to stop peddling this crack! Contact Oprah and ask your friends and families to do so as well. Together, we can stop this monster!

be sure to even halve it further than this, go as low as possible, even if you have to pull granules from the capsule, talk to your doc abotu switching to the regular effexor here and not the XR so you can taper even further.

Coffee will certainly give you feelings of anxiety even if you aren't on anything, so avoid it completely if you can whilst you are still tapering. Keep going with your suppliments (Are you taking St John's Wort?) When I came off, the main things I noticed were that St Johns Wort 1000mg per day split into 3 doses, 2 caps of Eve Primrose oil, and valerian helped immensely. Vitamin B made me have terrible nausea, so I switched it to a good multi vitamin for women. If you aren't sure if Vit B is making you sick, you could try noticing if you feel bad before or after taking it?

Just when I thought I was really over this I am starting to notice myself feeling super dizzy imediately when I get agitated. I don't know if this is still part of the withdrawl process. I also am having very strange cramps in my legs and abdomen. If anyone has had this please respond and let me know. I don't know what else it could be. Also I am feeling agitated frequently and I cant stop it. HELP!!
